    Dr. Liz Sobel will be bring two unique displays:
    Historic Archaeology of 1800's Ash Grove Display, based on her Archaeological excavations of the area; and the Osage Nation Display - The only educational resource of its kind authorized by the Osage Nation


    AFRICAN - AMERICAN HISTORY OF ASH GROVE

    Father Moses Berry will present artifacts from the Ozarks Afro-American Heritage Museum. Typically this is by appointment only but this is your chance to see a special public showing where he will explain their meaning and uses and share stories of heritage


    MOUNTAIN MEN / TRAPPERS & CIVIL WAR SOLDIERS

    Mountain Men / Trappers and Civil War soldiers tent camps,   bushwhackers,  primitive and old time skills demonstrations .

            PHENIX QUARRY TOUR

            See Phenix Marble Quarry’s remnants of its glory days -  present marble production – and  Phenix ghost town,  Tour travels by historic points of interest – “Silk Stocking Lane” vintage homes – Corridor of the “Leaky  Roof Railroad”   KY3’s Mike Landis and local  historian, Clyde Jones, guides. Shuttle leaves Main Street – 9:30 – 10:45 – 12:30 -2:30   Public tours of the quarry are limited to shuttle tour on festival day.


            EARLY DAY GAS ENGINE AND TRACTOR ASSOCIATION

            Antique tractors, steam powered equipment, hit and miss engines and more. Demonstrations and experts will be available through the day.


            PRESENTATION OF PHENIX DOCUMENTARY

            Producer and KY3 Reporter, Mike Landis tells the story of  Phenix  Marble Quarry- once one of America’s largest producers of building stone. Its company town was vibrant and  thriving.  The Depression brought production to an end.  The town eventually  disappeared.  But the quarry’s legacy still lives.  Continuous showings throughout the day at the "old Commonwealth building", next door to the Ash Grove Library
